Why design and use fire door monitors

In order to prevent the fire from spreading and expanding in buildings, it is necessary to take necessary fire separation measures. Fire partitions such as fire doors and fire shutters can meet the requirements of fire resistance stability, integrity and heat insulation within a certain period of time, and divide the building space into several fire partitions, so that once a fire breaks out in each fire partition, it can not spread and expand outward within a certain period of time, so as to effectively control the fire and create good conditions for fighting the fire. Although fire doors and protective roller shutters are widely used in fire protection design in architectural engineering, in fire protection practice, due to unreasonable design, improper selection and irregular installation, normally open fire doors are replaced by normally closed fire doors, and fire doors are replaced by protective roller shutters. Especially, when fire doors are used in some high-rise buildings and large public gathering places, there are often contradictions with the business nature of the places. The above problems lead to the ineffective function of fire doors. Therefore, in the newly promulgated Code for Design of Automatic Fire Alarm System "GB 50116-2013 provides for effective monitoring of fire doors.
